  We have been renting houseboats from Boatels for 12 years now. Unfortunately, we have really seen the quality decline in the last couple years and last weekend was our last time using them. When we showed up, the boat wasn't even cleaned yet. The pilot light for the water heater kept going out making the boat smell like propane. We were assured by the attendant that the fresh water tank(used for toilet, shower, doing dishes) had recently been filled despite the indicator saying it was low. Sure enough, it ran out quickly and we had to spend our Saturday morning going all the way back to the marina to fill up on water which cost us an additional $100 in gas which they refused to refund....unbelievable. My list of complaints is much longer but you get the point I'm sure. Our group will be renting a houseboat from another company next year.
